About Us
Located
at the gateway to the world famous Napa Valley Wine Country, Napa
Valley Horsemen's Association (NVHA) is the oldest horse association in
California.
Founded in 1939 under the direction of first Chairman, Judge David Wright, the Napa Valley Horsemen's Association moved to its current location in 1948.The
NVHA property today consists of nearly 32 acres, with a clubhouse, two
arenas, arena office/concession stand, restrooms, and a 20-stall barn.
There
are many enjoyable as well as educational functions that take place on a
regular basis. We have Clinics to help improve your horsemanship, Poker
Rides to improve your enjoyment of your horse and fellow club members.
There also many Trail Rides varying from a day ride to overnight
camping.
Our horse shows are a great way to tune your horse up and improve your
showmanship. Many families make the horse shows a family affair with
all participating, particularly the junior riders.
Our yearly Crab Feed and our December Holiday Party are just two of the fun get-togethers. Being an all volunteer club, we have many committees to choose from to
help keep the club a viable resource to the Napa Valley community. All
members are expected to serve on at least one committee during the year,
although many members volunteer on more than one committee or project.
You can't have too much fun!
The
initiation fee is $40.00 per person and dues of $40.00 per person. The
petition needs signatures of your sponsors or the NVHA Membership
Secretary. The annual dues are $40.00 per person and are payable by the
first meeting of the year.
